Battling insurmountable odds, a hungry opponent and a near-broken leg, he somehow musters the inner strength to make the kind of comeback that legends are made of. He would later refer to that singular event at Torrey Pines as "my greatest ever championship”.

Back then, no one would have believed, that a little more than a year later, his entire personal and professional world would go to hell in a handbasket.

In short, Tiger’s fall from grace was straight out of a Greek tragedy.

Few celebrities have ever had their deepest human flaws exposed in such public fashion, which makes Tiger Woods such a fascinating study in the transformative power of redemption.

For quite some time, media and gossip hounds have thoroughly gnawed and chewed at every piece of Tiger’s scandalized bones. Yet, in 2018 his return to the PGA Tour has been filled with glimpses of a potential return to glory. TV ratings have once again been skyrocketing whenever Woods enters a tournament, proving there are millions of people willing to give him a second chance to rewrite what could be the most stirring of epilogues.

But, what if Tiger Woods’ epic rise, crushing fall and current redemption tour is less a sports story than a real-life example of what it takes to stare past failures in the eye. What if his every tournament appearance in 2018 is just another step wards a brighter future?
